There are several rivers called the Yeo in the West Country of England. Yeo
is a Saxon word, meaning simply "river", "stream", or "water" district (cf.
French l'eau). Germanic 'Ge-' cognate with 'Gau-' meaning district and is
commonly found in the Southern Germany and Switzerland river borders.
Somerset
* The River Yeo joins the River Isle near Langport to form the River Parrett.
This river flows through Sherborne in Dorset, and the Somerset towns of Yeovil,
Yeovilton and Ilchester.
* The Congresbury Yeo runs from Compton Martin to the Bristol Channel near
Kingston Seymour. The Yeo Valley company which produces organic yoghurt was
originally based close to this river.
* The Cheddar Yeo rises in Gough's Cave in the Cheddar Gorge, and is a tributary
of the River Axe.
* The Mark Yeo, another tributary of the River Axe.

A. R. Hye ("Abdul Rahman Hye" - Urdu: عبد اللرحمن حئ) was born on December 17,
1919.
His early life was focused on his quest for learning and education. Thus, after
his graduation, he chose to travel to the United Kingdom to qualify as an
architect. In those days without access to airlines he traveled three weeks on a
ship to United Kingdom from Bombay to achieve his goal of learning and
education.
He arrived in Europe after World War II and was able to witness first hand the
reconstruction of Europe which influenced his architecture along with the
philosophy he carried from home to utilise limited scarce indigenous resources
to provide maximum comfort to the users. When he returned home he was one of the
few qualified architects in his country.
Mr. Hye got married to Qudsia in 1952 after his return from the U.K. He has
three children (Laique, Fatima, and Ayesha), eight grand children and one
great-grand-daughter.
Education
He received his Archictecture Degree from University of Edinburgh UK in 1947. He
was admitted to the membership of the Royal Institute of British Architects as
A.R.I.B.A. in the year 1947. In later years, he returned to the UK to specialise
in Tropical Architecure at AA School of Architecture in London in 1967.
Career
India and Pakistan gained independance from Britain while A.R.Hye was in UK and
he moved to Pakistan after his return. His education and background gave him the
opportunity to use his skills to influence the architectural landscape of his
country at a very early age during his era.
Being a pioneer of Pakistani Architecture, he is considered the father of
Institutional Architecture in Pakistan.
His first major assignment was in East Pakistan to design and build the
infrastructure of the nascent country. Thus, early in his career during 1950's,
A.R.Hye became the Chief Town Planner of the port city of Chittagong. In this
capacity, he was responsible for working on the master plan of Chittagong
Township, the famous Cox's Bazaar and as Architect Planner in Dhaka.
In 1958 he moved to West Pakistan and joined the Government of West Pakistan in
1959 and become the first Chief Architect of the Government of West Pakistan. He
was responsible for the total architectural designs of all government buildings
in all the cities and towns of West Pakistan, i.e. Karachi, Lahore, Rawalpindi,
Peshawar, Quetta, Multan, Jhelum, Bahawalpur, Sialkot, Gujrat, Mardan,
Faisalabad, Sahiwal, Hyderabad, Mianwali, Kalabagh etc. He remained in this key
position until West Pakistan was broken into four provinces in 1969 after the
resignation of President Ayub Khan. Thereafter, he was asked to become the Chief
Architect of the Government of Punjab, the largest of the four provinces. Based
in Lahore, he remained in that position until his retirement from government
service in 1981.
As Chief Architect of the Government of West Pakistan and the Government of
Punjab, his designs included Colleges, Schools, Polytechnic Institutions,
Hospitals, Housing Schemes and townships. During this period, he has designed
more hospital beds, schools, colleges, masjids, housing schemes, etc than any
other architect of his era in Pakistan. The most famous among his projects is
the Bahawalpur Medical College renamed Quaid-e-Azam Medical College. His
projects also included many Tehsil Hospitals.
His buildings were built before Air Conditioning became common place in the
region. Thus, his designs are unique for "tropical architecture", and
incorporated strategic placement of windows, overhangs and relied on natural
ventilation to fight the harsh and extremely hot climate. Bold overhangs and
courtyards are characteristic of his designs. These overhangs provided natural
shade to the exterior walls of the building protecting it from intense heat
during summer and as barrier to cold winds in winter - which are characteristic
of much of the tropical climate of inland Pakistan.
Upon his retirement from service in 1981, Mr. Hye spent a few years traveling
and living in USA. Since 1995, Mr. Hye has been living a retired life in
Islamabad in the house designed by himself.

commercial MMORPG games came the desire from ardent players of these games to
run their own servers beside the ones run by the game's creator. Since the
original server software is not usually available, the behavior of the server
